to campaign for improvements to rights of way on horseback
promote and publish suitable riding routes in north Essex and the adjoining borders of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk that support the ambitions of countryside riders and reduce their reliance on busy roads
We will:
record, report and champion necessary improvements and sustained maintenance to local byways and bridleways
identify, document and promote realistic routes of between 5 and 15 miles length (or more), and identify and promote amenities en route
identify and seek to create potential new routes requiring new bridleways or permissions for riders
investigate lapsed equestrian routes and activate plans for reinstatement and/or challenge
encourage and support developments in equine tourism in the area
inform and educate riders about their rights, responsibilities and courtesies on and off road
encourage positive relationships with landowners and other users of the countryside
