Uttlesford County Council spent £2 million clearing up problems with bridleways.
And they're not all caused by people within the area who pay the taxes - some come from outside the area entirely to drive 4x4s over rutted bridleways, making the area worse than before and making it more difficult for horse riders (who bridleways were originally intended for).
