SUPPORTING ADULTS AT HOME AND IN THE COMMUNITY
ABOUT OUR BEFRIENDING SERVICES
Our Befriending Services are varied and can benefit a wide range of adults with various issues including; loneliness, isolation, mental health problems, disabilities, dementia, strokes and complex health needs.
Support packages can be booked for a minimum of two hours and are designed to be a lifetime service, with both male and female 1 to 1 ‘befrienders’ available.
North East Befriending Services are proud to have been commissioned by Durham County Council; something which reflects our commitment to helping isolated and vulnerable adults in Durham and the North East of England.

- Assisted Hydro
- Swimming
- Housework
- GP Appointments
- Social Support Needs
SERVICE INFORMATION
For more than 8 years, we have been dedicated to offering companionship and support through our befriending service. We work closely with local families, striving to enhance their quality of life. Whether it’s assisting with groceries or simply having a heartfelt conversation, our goal is to provide the most compassionate support possible to combat isolation and loneliness, and to uplift people’s overall well-being.
